Khama`s P1.8m caravan coming this month

After so many denials the Office of the President (OP) has finally confirmed that the P1.8 million caravan that caused a massive stir last year, was indeed bought for President Ian Khama.

It has also been revealed that the caravan is taking long to arrive – it has been almost a year since the tender for the acquisition was published by the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB). It was scheduled for delivery in November last year.

However, the Minister of Defense and Security, Dikgakgamatso Seretse told Parliament this week that he expects President Khama’s executive caravan, which has been acquired at a cost of P1,870,628.10, to eventually arrive this month after protracted delays.
