Johannesburg — The ANC Youth League appeared to score a political victory last night when NGC delegate sneaked discussions on the nationalisation of mines onto the agenda.

The African National Congress (ANC) Youth League appeared to score a political victory last night when delegates at the ruling party’s review meeting sneaked discussions on the nationalisation of mines onto the agenda.

It followed supporters of league president Julius Malema taking on President Jacob Zuma and the leadership over alleged “unfair” treatment and criticism of Mr Malema.

After many thought Mr Zuma had gained the upper hand when he asserted his authority at the ANC’s national general council on Monday, Mr Malema’s supporters hit back yesterday , claiming that party disciplinary processes were selective.
