Ministry of Health officials met over the weekend to try and come up with a strategy to rescue the financially troubled Bokamoso Private Hospital, The Gazette is informed. It is reported that the hospital is in deep financial trouble and is on the brink of collapse.
Bokamoso Hospital is a joint project between the BPOMAS and PULA medical aid schemes. Speculation is that all is not well between the management of the hospital and some Health Ministry officials and allegations of sabotage are flying around. Some industry players claim a clash of interests between the Board Chairman, Dr. Richard Malefho, who is also Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, and Bokamoso’s Managing Director, Mr. Kabelo Ebineng.
