Public servants to get back-pay – Bakwena

The Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM) says all government employees, including teachers of the undefined hours of work – who are owed days – will get their back-pay backdated to May 1, 2010.

DPSM director Festinah Bakwena said yesterday that they have agreed with the unions that permanent and pensionable employees whose salaries were calculated based on 20 working days, in line with the old Public Service Act, should be paid their two days as required under the New Public Service Act.

    i will be glad if we backdated from april. after all this government must conduct a reseach on all public servant about their standard of living it will be amaze no homes, cant afford car and our families maybe it will have a claer understanding
