Former Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology and novelist, Andrew Sesinyi, has called on the government to scrap the new alcohol regulations.

Speaking as a “concerned ordinary citizen”, he told The Gazette that the State must involve all stakeholders – mainly the youth – in seeking solutions to alcohol abuse. “Let us not be skewed towards adults; they are not the sole custodians of solutions to problems. Identify existing potent and proven successes in reducing alcohol abuse by looking at case studies,” he said.
