1 756 Batswana acquire e-passports

GABORONE – More than 1 750 Batswana have acquired e-passports, says Mr Letso Mpho, an official in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Mr Mpho said e-passports are currently issued in Gaborone only, but that they will soon roll out the issuance to other stations countrywide.

He said the installation of the e-passport system is being rolled out and that the process will be completed in September.

He said places that will have e-passport facilities by September are: Tsabong, Ghanzi, Maun, Gaborone, Lobatse, Selebi-Phikwe, Francistown and Kasane.
