Botswana, Zim cement ties

GABORONE – The 26th session of Botswana/Zimbabwe Joint Permanent Commission on Defence and Security has expressed the need to strengthen cooperation at various levels in respective areas between the two countries.

A press statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation states that the Commission also advocated for the need to nurture cooperation to ensure continued peace and stability in the two countries.

It also states that the commission held fruitful discussions on a wide range of mutual defence and security matters as well as on issues relating to wildlife, customs and excise, prisons or correctional services and animal diseases.
