60 receive computer systems engineering degree

GABORONE – Computer Systems Engineering degree graduates from Botswana Accountancy College (BAC) have been urged to translate their knowledge and technical skills into value propositions to benefit themselves and the country at large.

The minister of Infrastructure, Science and Technology, Mr Johnnie Swartz said at the BAC graduation ceremony that it would be partially worthless if the graduates did not apply and deploy what they had acquired to benefit the society.

He noted that their skills would benefit the country because technology is at the epicenter of the development of all countries, especially the emerging economies such as Botswana.

He noted that by obtaining degrees which are underpinned by computer technology, the graduates were living Botswanas dream of building skills capacity in the area of science and technology in the near future, adding that the country had invested in them for its long term development.
