Millions used to charter aircraft for foreign tripsNew jet misses deadline again
President Ian Khama is reported to have chartered a jet from a Canadian jet manufacturing company, Bombardier, to use on his foreign trips. Bombardier is the same company that will supply his new jet, which should have been delivered by June this year, but the deadline was extended to August, the reason advanced being that certain aircraft parts were unavailable.

The jet has been delayed for more than a year now; last year Parliament was told that the delays were caused by changes that had to be made to the chairs and cabinet.Presidential spokesperson, Mr. Sipho Madisa, confirmed that President Khama had chartered a jet from the manufacturer of his new jet.
