Locals benefit from dam related tourism

PARLIAMENT – The Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism Mr Kitso Mokaila says his ministry has already concluded arrangements to reserve some dams for tourism purposes.

He said the next step would be to liaise with relevant authorities such as the Town and Country Planning Board on the modalities of utilisation of this resource and this has already been initiated “but not yet concluded.” Mr Mokaila said his ministry was aware of the Ntimbale dam study which identified potential tourism activities in the vicinity of the dam.
