The Debswana Orapa and Letlhakane mines, located in Botswana, officially opened the 22-million pula Lethakane road link in the Boteti sub-district, which was built to bridge the distance locals travelled to reach amenities in Orapa, it was reported.

These included access to health facilities that the mines had extended to near-by communities, such as the free Anti-Retrovirals and children’s health-care.

“The road is one of the most important infrastructural projects and has been facilitated for better health conditions for residents of Letlhakane and Mmatshumo, as they were previously exposed to a lot of dust,” said Slumber Tsogwane MP for the area.
