Up to 50 Batswana nationals will be sponsored to train in India under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC), the Indian High Commissioner to Botswana Vishnu N. Hade has said. The ambassador was speaking at an occasion to celebrate ITEC day and launch the Overseas India card in Gaborone on Tuesday.

The ITEC scholarships is a 100 percent increase from the 25 slots that have traditionally been reserved for Batswana.
