Will Khama deliver killer blow?

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) national congress is slated for the long weekend in Kanye. The ruling party is expected to elect its leadership ahead of the 2009 general elections. Observers say there has been enough drama in recent weeks but more should be expected in Kanye this weekend. Party chairman Daniel Kwelagobe and former Women’s Wing chairperson, Tebelelo Seretse are the lead combatants in a tussle that has pitted two factions, the A-team and Barata Party against.
The two factions are fighting to control the central committee, which dictates the policy direction of the party.
