Decisions made in Cabinet – a new weekly feature

Beginning this week as part of our mandate to educate and inform, the Dailynews is starting a new feature that will regularly inform the public about decisions made in Cabinet.
As the executive committee of government, Cabinet is both the central and highest decision making body in the country. Its membership consists of the President, the Vice President and all inisters.
The Attorney-General and the Permanent Secretary to the President, who acts as the Cabinet Secretary, also sit in Cabinet meetings, serving as ex-officio members.
Assistant ministers may attend when their minister is unavailable.
