GPH welcomes health care competition from Bokamoso

The Gaborone Private Hospital (GPH) is expected to face stiff competition following the building of another private hospital, Bokamoso.
The General Manager of GPH, Eugene Ferreira, says the opening of another private hospital will certainly affect them in one way or another.
But that is not to say the competition is not welcome, Ferreira adds, though it will be something new to the Life Group, the holding company of GPH.
In South Africa, the Life Group, which owns more than 60 hospitals, is in competition with other hospitals. Ferreira says they have been serving patients from all communities well and that the majority of their clients are members of medical aid societies in addition to private patients and public service patients.
