Botswana defines boundary with neighbours

TUTUME – The Director of Surveys and Mapping, Mr Godffrey Habana says there is concern about lack of clear cut international boundaries between Botswana and her neighbours Mr Habana said since independence the boundaries have never been properly defined, which could be a recipe for land dispute.
Mr Habana revealed that a team of experts has been assembled and is going around the country in border villages to try and establish the exact boundaries between Botswana and its neighbours.
He said after the exercise is complete, the boundaries would be secured in two ways, one being the erection of a stronger border fence and the other being establishment and fulltime maintenance of patrol roads.
