WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) – New Zealand imposed extra travel sanctions against Zimbabwe on Wednesday while continuing its condemnation of President Robert Mugabe’s regime and its suppression of dissent.
New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters said an existing travel ban had been extended to block adult children of Mugabe’s associates from gaining student visas
and permits for entry to New Zealand.
Australia and the U.S. recently imposed similar restrictions.
